About Me
May 2nd of 2006 I was diagnosed with HIV. Since then, my life has gone in many directions..one of those directions was allowing the Lord to work in my life.

Before HIV, I was a wondering soul.. lost. After finding out my HIV stat's, I went into a deep depression-but slowly overcame the confusion/lies that my life was over. God stepped in/ took control of the things I couldn't control.

During this time of letting God renew my life, he picked me up and told me I was a new creature (in him). I believed his words-and my life started this incredible transformation and journey.

Instead of thinking my life was over due to HIV, the Lord moved me into areas of life which gave life and for that, I am eternally grateful.

I'm currently studying for my B.S. in PSY. I've recently finished work on my Associates in the Liberal Arts (Which simply means I've got two more years to go.)

My goals are to finish work on my B.S.~ After that, I'll see if the Lord wants me 2 go back 4 my masters right away. If not, I'll move from the area (Most likely) and start paying back my student loans *LOL*

If anyone is hurting, suffering with life-find comfort in a bible believing church. It doesn't mean you have to tell people you are HIV+ but go to church to seek God-Don't care what people think-Care what God thinks-and what Christ did 4 U on the cross for you.

I started going 2 church w/ yrs. of Meth addiction behind me (drugs in general, really) as well as being confused about my own sexual orientation. This is where I came 2 understand there was much more to my addiction than I thought-I was living a life displeasing to the Lord. So many issues were tackled while I began to read my bible, attending Church and its outreach programs.

Due to the ministries/outreach programs at my church-I found people who understood my struggles (in time).

The most important thing that has happened in my life is a personal, one on one, relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

Does this make me perfect? Does that give me str8 A's in school? Nope, not at all! In fact, it means I know I am not perfect and I can’t do this life on my own.

If you find yourself doing the same thing over and over again, and you're expecting the results to be different, it's time for a change in your life.

When you find yourself depressed-start praising God for your life. This life was given to you, by God, for his glory.

Thank God for the blue skies. Thank God for brighter days ahead. Just thank God for the smallest thing in our lives.

If you feel your life is over, start to realize-it's not! A new chapter has just begun-that's all! Something different from most, of course-but even still this life is a gift.

Find life in Christ and start living the real life. There is so much freedom in knowing him.

In the past, I lived a life which was totally insane! Crazy, no doubt! I did things over and over again-wanting a different outcome at the end…and you know what? It never happened. The outcome was always the same. Life was a mess.

So my life changed…slowly, it did. But it did change. I just gave up control to God-and kept moving forward. In time, my life became something different. My life became God's...And I started living…life was given so we could live. Lets live this life to the fullest with Gods blessings.

Nothing, absolutely nothing, is too big for God to change if you go to him. He'll change your outlook and your desires in life.
God is Good!!

Proverbs 3:6-8
" In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes; fear the LORD and shun evil. This will bring health to your body and nourishment to your bones."

Matt. 8: 2-3 (King James)

"And, behold, there came a leper and worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou clean. And immediately his leprosy was cleansed"

How Does Vitamin D Deficiency Impact HIV?

By Mark Cichocki, R.N., About.com

Though it isn't unique to people infected with the virus, studies suggest that HIV and vitamin D deficiency often go hand-in-hand. This is worrisome because vitamin D is an important nutrient for bone health, calcium balance and immune function.
People living with HIV and vitamin D deficiency may experience bone disorders, low CD4 counts and increased AIDS progression, so doctors are taking a closer look at vitamin D levels in all of their HIV patients.

Successful AIDS-Vaccine Trial Raises Hopes — and Questions

Successful AIDS-Vaccine Trial Raises Hopes — and Questions
By Eben Harrell Thursday, Sep. 24, 2009

An AIDS vaccine has been shown to reduce the risk of HIV infection in humans for the first time, a significant advance in a field of research that has long been stymied by failure.

The $105 million, six-year trial, which involved more than 16,000 people in Thailand — the largest AIDS-vaccine trial ever conducted — found that an experimental vaccine was 31% effective in preventing HIV infection. T… Continue

By Mark Cichocki, R.N., About.com

HIV researchers have found the first case of what they believe is HIV being transmitted from an HIV positive mom to her child by way of pre-chewed food. Hey Chad,

If you get the chance to read some good inspiration books, you must pick up this one book that caught my eye in the bookstore. It's called "Jumping through Fires" by David Nasser. It's about a man who was born in Iran and his family relocates to the U.S. to avoid religious persecution (His whole family almost was killed). He talks about his tribulations before changing from Islam to Christianity and it's very moving and emotional. It's a true story and David Nasser is now a minister in Alabama. I cried my eyes out reading this book, it really showed the power of God and how he touches the lives around us. Another great book is "Heaven Is Real" by Don Piper. I finished reading that book that He Intends Victory sent to us, very eye-opening but gives us hope too. I hope you're doing well and keep up the good work with spreading the good word of God.

Chad,

That was so moving. I actually had tears falling down my face. It gives me more reason to keep going on about my life and not being afraid of living with this virus. The doctor called me on Friday and told me that my levels are almost indetectable (viral load) and I know this is the healing power of our Lord. He does wonders!

Chad,

I just keep pressing on that he stands behind his believers. I still pray and read the good book and attend church as well. I want to go to Bible study eventually.
