My name is Sandi Harris. I have a teenage daughter and currently stay home to provide support for her. I became interested in He Intends Victory after my brother, David, died of AIDS on September 15, 2005. He learned that he was HIV + in 1989. Watching him struggle with the emotional and physical aspects of the disease has given me a heart for people who go through the same struggle. I hope to one day have a He Intends Victory support group up and running in the Denver-metro area. I continue to pray for God's direction.
Hey Sandi-Ive been having a few side effects but nothing major. Last night I had a hard time sleeping. I was up every few hours. In fact, I woke up @ 4-5am ready to get my day going..but I looked at the clock and went back to bed until 7am. *LOL*
This makes the 2nd night since I have taken the meds that I have had trouble sleeping-BUT! I wouldnt change being on them for anything! I feel great with Atripla!
Yep, I am looking forward to seeing an old friend and having the opportunity t witness a little more to him. He wants to listen so I am going to share more of the gosple with him. I'm thinking of verses I can share with the guy-The Lord will lead me to what needs to be said.
God bless ya, my friend
hi Sandi,
I am about 45 mins to 1 hour from Santa Fe ... I need to find a group so bad, I thought I can do this on my own and I could but I don't want to anymore. So i will look into that, thank you!
Sandi--
Just now getting time to respond to you. Yes, God willing Belize is on the horizon. It will be an awesome time to visit Central America and bring the message of hope and salvation to many of the people (prisons, schools, hospitals, etc.). Kathi Winter is our group leader, and I am looking forward to fellowshiping with her and the 5 others on the mission trip.
The formulation of a group in Santa Fe hasn't come to fruition yet, but I am trusting the Lord in His timing. I am placing He Intends Victory books in the clinic for folks to take, as well as a contact poster on the bulletin board (this often gets ripped down, so I have a stack of replacement ones... it is some-thing that probably convicts, as it talks about a relationship with Jesus Christ) It is fustrating, but I know God is in control... one day it will impact someone.
Will join you in prayer for your 2010 Mission trip; It will impact you. Start with your local church body and get them behind you with fund raisers/donations. If you purpose in your heart, God is faithful to meet you at your point of need.
Often we go with the belief that we will greatly impact the people, only to find that we are the ones that are blessed.
Great to hear from you again! Hope all is well your way. My t-cells will get better with time. They're at 244 right now-and my V.L. is at 36,000-In time, those will become non-detectiable ( I believe) and my T-cells will get back to normal. I feel great for just three days! No joke! I was surprised on how fast my energy level came back. Glory to God!! I took my first dose Monday night-and as of today, Thursday evening, I feel awesome~ Truly not expected on my part. I thought it was going to take much longer..but it worked fast. I started feeling better starting Tuesday morning-and even moreso as the day carried on. :) 'Atripla' has been out for 3 yrs my doctor said. The side effects have been slim with me.
Tuesday I was droswy-but Wednes/Thursday I wasnt drowsy at all. I havent even wanted to take a nap!! Praise God on that!
I didnt have any dreams last night-good or bad *LOL*-Tuesday night I had a few but they werent vivid at all. They were very vague. Take care of ur Sandi! GBya!

What a wonderful encouragement from the Lord. It reminds me of what happened when the family of the actor, Steve McQueen found him shortly after he died. He had given his heart to the Lord a couple of months previous after Billy Graham had shared the Gospel with him and then he got cancer. But he made a real commitment to the Lord. Lying in bed, his Bible was opened to John 3:16.
God loves to give us a glimpse though the window of heaven.
I think we already have! I just did a second profile and had to delete one . But we are FRIENDS!
How are you doing? How much snow do you have?
Thank you for being there for our friends in Denver!
