by Chad Slate People say I wear a hat all the time, and its true-i do! Some folks want to see me w/out one..but I honestly think hats are a gift from God :) There are many reasons I think this. One being, you can just put one on and do what Uve got to do w/out caring about ur hair-NICE! Its also a great replacement when you have a bad haircut-No better time for a hat-PERFECT! Hats are multi-purpose for such reasons as this. But the main reason Ive been wearing a hat is b/c Ive been dealing w/psoriasis of the scalp- which is mainly due to my weakened immune system from the HIV and the rebuilding of it due to my med's, My body is adjusting. I've had psoriasis since I was 18yrs-but the scalp didnt start until a yr and a half ago. W/in the last month, my scalp has gotten back to normal b/c I located a dermo-doc that handles those w/ HIV. The problem has subsided w/a special kind of liquid med (for the scalp). Just one other factor some face while living w/HIV-skin disorders-but it can easily be taken care of when the right Dermo doc is avaliable. If you have skin issues due to HIV, I recommend seeking a dermo-doc that understands HIV care. It took me awhile to figure this out (Nov.09).
